To access the online CPD courses you will need to ensure you have Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader, Resolution Supported, Cookies Enabled and set your pop-up blocker to allow www.mycpd.ie. To open documents from the Student Centre please ensure you have Adobe Reader.

  1. Click the Windows Start button
  2. Select Control Panel
  3. Double-click 'Display'
  4. Click the 'Settings' Tab
  5. Change Settings as needed.
  6. Click OK.

If you cannot change your resolution the navigational panels will be minimised.

If cookies are not supported, use the following steps to update Internet Explorer (IE) settings:

Close all IE windows, then open Internet Explorer, then:

  1. Select Tools | Internet Options
  2. Click the Delete Cookies Button
  3. Click OK to delete cookies
  4. Click OK at the bottom of the Internet Options window

Close all IE windows, then reopen IE

Cookies are used in these lessons to allow you to bookmark the last page you visited and to remember your progress.

Note: cookies are not a requirement for running these lessons and your data is not transmitted to IoBI.

  1. In Internet Explorer go to Tools, Internet Options on the menu.
  2. Click on the Privacy tab.
  3. If you see "Custom", click the "Default" button to reset the settings.
  4. The slider on the left should NOT be set to "Block All Cookies".
  5. If you don't know which settings to put the slider on, put it on the "Medium" option.
  6. Click Ok to exit the option window and then close Internet Explorer.
  7. Cookies are now enabled in Internet Explorer.
