From 2009|2010 all Institute of Bankers in Ireland’s educational programmes will be offered through The Institute of Bankers School of Professional Finance (a recognised school of University College Dublin, affiliated with the UCD College of Business and Law). Hence, those who successfully complete a School of Professional Finance programme from 2009|2010 will receive their educational  award from UCD.

The Institute of Bankers School of Professional Finance’s education and qualification structure is one of the most comprehensive portfolios of financial services educational programmes offered anywhere in the  world. It ranges from Professional Certificate through Diploma, to Degree, Graduate Diploma, Masters and Doctorate level. In the Republic of Ireland, it consists of 25 individual programmes designed for those working in banking and financial services. From among these programmes, you can choose the one which best helps you to do your job better, enhances your promotion prospects, advances your general education and meets, where required, the Financial Regulator’s Minimum Competency Requirements. The 25 programmes are organised into two categories:

1.  Professional Certificates and Professional Diplomas
2.  University Diploma, Degree and Postgraduate Qualifications

A key feature of the School of Professional Finance’s education and qualification structure is its integrated credit accumulation system which creates a direct pathway for those with school-leaving qualifications to progress from Professional Certificate to Diploma and onwards to University Degree and Postgraduate qualifications.
