The Institute of Bankers in Ireland is working towards full compliance with the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines.

The Institute's website, bankers.ie, was designed with these priorities:

  • Uses stylesheets meaning that all font sizes are relative and can be resized using the useful resizing tool (AAA) on every page.
  • Where possible, images that convey important information have alternative text.  Where an image is for decorative purposes, the alternative text is left blank.
  • A sitemap has been provided to supply information about the layout of the website.
The great majority of downloads and documents are provided in PDF format, which can be read using Adobe's screen reader.  Please visit the Access Adobe website for more information.
